Exploring Intimacy Through Audio: with SuzannahKincaid
I recently had the chance to sit down (virtually) with Suzannah, a voice actor who’s carved out a unique space in the world of audio erotica. What started as a background in video game voice acting has evolved into something much more personal creating immersive, emotional audio experiences that resonate deeply with her audience.
And honestly? Her perspective is refreshing.
Suzannah’s journey into this space wasn’t something she planned from the beginning.
“I’ve been doing voice acting for a while mostly for video games,” she told me. “I only got into audio erotica about a year ago.”
Originally from Australia, she grew up in a pretty traditional Catholic environment, one where topics around sex and intimacy weren’t exactly open for discussion.
“Sex wasn’t something we would talk about,” she said. “Even Fifty Shades of Grey felt taboo.
That contrast makes what she does now even more interesting. After moving to the U.S., she discovered audio erotica and quickly realized it offered something different and something safe.
“It felt like a way to explore fantasies or kinks I wouldn’t necessarily try in real life,” she explained. “And since my content is mostly for male listeners, I also wanted to create a space where they could safely explore those sides of themselves too.”
It’s Not Just About the Audio It’s About the Feeling
One thing that really stood out to me was how intentional Suzannah is about her work.
When I asked about her creative process, she didn’t talk about scripts or production first she talked about emotion.
“It’s not just about the words… it’s about the feeling behind them,” she said.
Because her audience can’t see anything, everything comes down to how something is said, the tone, the pacing, even the pauses.
“I focus on understanding the character’s emotional state and letting that guide my delivery. Pauses can be just as important as dialogue.”
She also approaches every recording as if she’s speaking to one person, not a crowd and I think that’s a big part of why her content feels so intimate.
In terms of style, she leans toward softer, more grounded themes.
“I love slice-of-life, domestic, submissive-style audios,” she told me. “And historical romance I really enjoy that too.”
Creating Space for Comfort, Too
Even though she works in a genre often labeled as “spicy,” Suzannah also makes room for something just as important: comfort.
She creates SFW “pillow talk” audios as well, something she felt was necessary for her audience.
“I wanted to give my listeners options,” she said. “Not everyone always wants something explicit.”
And this is where her work really hits on a deeper level.
She shared a recent moment where one of her audios focused on reassurance sparked an emotional response from listeners.
“The comments made me cry,” she admitted.
One listener shared that the audio gave them a sense of comfort and reassurance they’d always wanted in a relationship, something that helped ease overthinking and anxiety.
That kind of impact goes way beyond entertainment.
Community, Boundaries, and Cat Content
Like many creators, Suzannah has built a strong connection with her audience but she’s also very clear about boundaries.
She keeps most interactions public, mainly through comment sections, which helps create a safer space for everyone.
“It keeps things respectful and comfortable,” she explained.
Outside of her audio work, her social presence is a mix of creativity and personality including appearances from her cats, affectionately dubbed the “Kincaid Kitties” by her listeners.
Changing the Way We Talk About It
At the end of the day, Suzannah isn’t just creating audio she’s contributing to a bigger shift in how people think about intimacy and expression.
“I hope it helps normalize talking about audio erotica,” she said. “It doesn’t have to be taboo.”
And that really stuck with me.
Because in a space that’s often misunderstood, creators like Suzannah are showing that it can be thoughtful, emotional, and even comforting, not just provocative.
If there’s one takeaway from this conversation, it’s this: sometimes the most powerful connections don’t come from what we see but from what we feel.
